"Knock Down" Bench

• This bench is Asian in its influence, yet it uses the arts and crafts method of "tusked tenon" construction.
• The horizontal members pass through the end frames and are secured by inserting ebony wedges.
• A side benefit to this construction is as the seat slats are not glued firmly in place they are able to flex, making the seat slightly resilient and very comfortable.
